Michelle Rae Sobi is a longtime yoga educator, artist, author, and mentor with nearly twenty years of experience teaching yoga and supporting yoga teachers. Her work has included owning and operating multiple yoga studios and schools, developing teacher-training programs, mentoring educators, and leading yoga retreats both locally and internationally.
Her experience reflects the many dimensions of life as a yoga teacher, studio owner, and entrepreneur, including all of the technology that comes with wearing those hats.
Art has always been woven through that work. As a visual artist and photographer, Michelle approaches spaces, education, technology, and business with a maker’s curiosity. She enjoys creating resources, documenting experiences, exploring new tools, and finding thoughtful ways to bring an idea from imagination into practice.
Today, her teaching and mentorship draw from that accumulated experience. Rather than separating yoga from the creative and practical work that surrounds it, Michelle explores the whole life of the yoga teacher: teaching, creating, organizing, learning, building community, and developing the skills that support meaningful and sustainable work.
