About the Trainer

The course is delivered by Frederic Salimi, a Process Safety and Technical Safety specialist with more than 30 years of international experience in process safety, engineering risk management, and major hazard control. His expertise includes HAZOP facilitation, SIL assessment, functional safety, asset integrity management, barrier management, Safety and Environmental Critical Elements (SECEs), and Management of Change (MoC).

Throughout his career, Frederic Salimi has held senior technical safety positions in leading international energy companies and engineering organisations, supporting projects in Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemicals, pipelines, offshore developments, and renewable energy. He has led and facilitated numerous HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and risk assessment workshops, helping organisations reduce risk and improve operational safety.

Most recently, he worked with ENGIE as Lead Technical Safety Engineer, where he established technical safety standards for renewable gas projects, developed safety governance procedures, and facilitated HAZOP and SIL workshops for biogas and biomethane facilities across Europe.

His unique combination of industrial experience and training expertise ensures that this course is firmly grounded in real-life projects and practical applications, providing learners with knowledge that can be directly applied to modern biogas and biomethane installations.
