Hi, I'm Ahmed Mamdoh, a software engineering leader and instructor with over 19 years of experience building software, designing systems, leading engineering teams, and helping developers grow.
Throughout my career, I've worked across different areas of software engineering—from C# and .NET development to databases, software architecture, distributed systems, performance optimization, and engineering leadership. This combination of hands-on engineering and leadership experience has given me the opportunity to see not only how software is built, but also how technical decisions behave when systems reach the real world.
My approach to teaching is simple: make complex concepts easy to understand without oversimplifying them.
I don't want you to just memorize patterns, technologies, or lines of code. I want you to understand why things work, why certain approaches fail, and how to make better engineering decisions when there isn't one perfect answer.
That's why my courses focus heavily on real-world and production-oriented thinking. We explore topics such as architecture, performance, scalability, maintainability, distributed systems, databases, and engineering trade-offs, connecting theory to practical examples and realistic scenarios.
Whether you're a junior developer building strong foundations, a mid-level developer working toward seniority, a senior engineer strengthening your architecture skills, or a technical leader looking at software from a broader perspective, my goal is to help you develop something more valuable than knowledge of a particular framework:
the ability to think like a software engineer.
If you enjoy understanding the why behind technology—not just the how—I think you'll feel at home in my courses.
