Alaa Abdelkrem Mahmoud Abozaid is a highly accomplished electrical engineer with over two decades of academic excellence and practical expertise in the field of electrical engineering and control systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Alexandria University (2011), where his research focused on "Multilevel Inverter and its Applications", contributing to the field with two published papers at the IEEE EPECS Conference in the UAE (2011). Prior to his Ph.D., he earned a Master’s degree from Ain Shams University (2005), specializing in electrical vehicles, which further enriched his academic foundation and research capabilities.

Alaa Abozaid career is a testament to his versatility and dedication to engineering. Beginning as a site engineer, he has amassed extensive hands-on experience across a wide range of technical domains, including:

· Variable Speed Drives Control and Automation Systems.

· Instrumentation, switchboards and marine control Systems.

· Diesel Engine Control for MAN B&W, MTU, Niggata, Volvo, and Wärtsilä engines.

Currently, Alaa Abozaid serves in Suez Canal Authority as the Superintendent of the Mecca Hopper Dredger, the largest one in the Middle East. In this demanding role, he oversees the dredger operation by a team of over 140 laborers, manages spare parts inventory, and supervises the technical matters including scheduled maintenance and malfunction repair to ensure optimal vessel performance. His responsibilities extend beyond technical oversight to include administrative duties, making his role both challenging and multifaceted.

Beyond his professional achievements, Alaa Abozaid is passionate about knowledge sharing and continuous learning. For the past four years, he has been a regular contributor to the quarterly magazine "أسواق الكهرباء والطاقة" (Electricity and Energy Markets), where he writes technical articles on electrical engineering topics. This endeavor reflects his commitment to staying at the forefront of industry advancements and sharing his expertise with a broader audience.

In 2019, Alaa Abozaid was recognized as a Consultant Engineer in Drive Systems by the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers, a testament to his technical proficiency and professional standing in the field.
