Since retirement from the Church of England Alun formed 'The Daffodil Foundation' a Community Interest Company and a sister organisation called 'TalkHelp' both organisations supporting bereaved people and guiding Heroin addicts to get free of addiction. Working under his organisation he has worked in prisons as a volunteer chaplain supporting prisoners whose loved ones have died and delivering Bereavement counselling, as well as drawing alongside prisoners with drug habits or other times of crisis in their lives.
Alun Jones has over twenty five years of experience giving Hope to those who suffer the loss of a loved one, and support to those who encounter a crisis in their life. Following a degree in Theology and Social Sciences from Leeds University he trained for ministry at Ripon College Cudesdon, Oxford and after twenty five years as a Parish Priest he retired from the Church of England in 2022. Since then he has worked in prisons as a chaplain supporting 'Lifers' and other prisoners whose loved ones have died, and delivering Bereavement Counselling, as well as drawing alongside prisoners with drug habits or other times of crisis in their lives. His heart is with those who suffer loss or Crisis, he knows their pain, and his years in ministry and training enables him to help those who are bereaved or encountering a crisis in their lives towards new hope, and new life. Alun is a qualified Bereavement counsellor, as well as a qualified Family Counsellor with National Children's Homes in the Uk he is a qualified Life Coach, and Spiritual Director. Alun is also a qualified TRiM Practitioner and TRiM manager able to assess and give counselling to those who suffer Trauma through accidents or Major Incidents.
