About me
I'm a Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) with a background in emergency medical care as a paramedic, which shapes how I think about high-stakes communication. I'm the founder of Ambar Interpreting LLC, where I train interpreters and build continuing education content grounded in real clinical experience, not recycled theory.
I hold a Training of Trainers certification through The Community Interpreter International, and I've spent years navigating the exact situations I now teach: family conflict, ethical gray areas, and the daily realities of working across medical, legal, and community settings. My goal with every course is simple: give interpreters practical, usable skills they can rely on the moment they're back in the room, not vague advice that falls apart under pressure.
