What made you become a breathwork- & meditation-coach?
For me it was obvious to learn more about breathwork and become a certified breathwork- & meditation-coach in the end. Being a professionally trained saxophonist und flutist, I had to learn proper breathing. Certainly beginning at an early age playing the clarinet, I didn’t know that these excercises are breathwork-excercises. But I did breathwork, learned abdomial breathing and the likes. Everything you need to be able to do when it comes to playing a wind-instrument.
So I was always practising breathwork with a clear goal. The goal was a physical, technical and musical one. The spiritual aspect of breathwork entered my life some years later.
Practising meditation since about 20 years, doing TaiChi and QiGong since 10 years, these where my spiritual excercises and experiences. Starting to really learn meditation and giving my meditation-practise some real foundation, it became a way of life for me and helped me a lot – in combination with breathwork – when some years ago some fundamental things in my life changed….
In 2018 I quit my job teaching saxophone and started to teach music at a primary school. This teaching-post took up lots of time and finally I also had to give up playing concerts.
That was a point when I realized the real spiritual dimension of music of especially playing music. It was also the starting point to dive deeper into meditation.
Music has a special effect on people, physically and mentally. Breathwork and meditation does the same, in a very focussed way.
Just like I did in music, I want to facilitate people to experience the wonderful power and effects of breathwork and meditation.
