I have spent over 20 years in athletics as a coach, professor, administrator, and mental performance consultant. My experiences include coaching collegiate basketball, teaching graduate sport psychology and sport management courses, and consulting with coaches and athletes on leadership, confidence, communication, emotional regulation, and performance under pressure.
My work focuses heavily on helping coaches improve both performance and well-being through evidence-based sport psychology strategies. I am the founder of Sound Mind Performance, where I work with coaches and athletes using practical mental performance approaches grounded in research and real-world application.
My teaching philosophy centers on creating engaging, practical learning experiences that bridge theory and application. I believe students learn best when they can immediately apply concepts to realistic coaching and leadership situations.
