About me
Hello. My name is Artem Stepanenko. I'm a Head of Supply Chain & Operations who builds supply chain management systems that reduce costs, scale logistics operations, and grow teams.
Over the past 5+ years, I've worked across the full e-commerce supply chain and logistics stack - from procurement and factory negotiations in China to warehouse operations, inventory management, and last-mile delivery logistics across the US.
I've built supply chain operations from scratch, turned around broken inventory management systems, and restructured freight, logistics, and fulfillment operations for Amazon-based businesses at different stages of growth.
Most recently, I led supply chain and logistics optimization for a US e-commerce company - identified $600K+ in annual savings through 3PL transition, ocean freight restructuring, and last-mile zone reduction.
Before that, I managed global supply chain networks and procurement across China, the US, and Canada - scaling SKU assortments from 150 to 500, then 500 to 2,000+, while keeping inventory out-of-stock (OOS) rates below 5% and cutting warehouse overstock by 70%.
What I actually do well: → COGS analysis and reduction across the full supply chain — factory, freight, logistics, 3PL, and last-mile → 3PL selection, warehouse and logistics contract negotiation, and transition management → China sourcing and procurement - supplier negotiations, quality control, landed cost optimization → Building trigger systems and double-check procedures so the operations team catches problems before they become expensive → Building supply chain and operations teams and processes in fast-moving e-commerce environments
One thing I've learned the hard way: most supply chain and logistics failures aren't caused by bad decisions. They're caused by missing processes - no one owned it, no trigger fired, no second pair of eyes caught it. That's what I focus on fixing in every supply chain management course I teach.
If you're scaling an Amazon or DTC business and your supply chain, logistics, or procurement costs are eating your margin — let's talk.
