I'm a certified building official and former home builder with experience on both sides of the inspection counter — building homes and enforcing the codes that keep them safe.

After years in the field, I know what it actually takes to pass ICC certification exams: not just memorizing answers, but learning to navigate the code book quickly and confidently under pressure. That's the approach behind every course I create realistic, timed practice tests with clear explanations and code-section citations, so you walk into the testing center prepared instead of guessing.

Beyond teaching, I build tools for the trades. I created ProjectCalc, a library of free construction and code calculators for

estimating, framing, plumbing, and more. I also founded Operaite,

field-service software that helps contractors schedule jobs, send estimates and

invoices, and run their business right from the field.

Whether you're chasing a certification, running a crew, or just getting started in

construction, my goal is the same: give you the knowledge and the tools to do the

work right. Let's get you certified.
