Chandra kavuri, is a multi-disciplinary man contributing to research, industry and academics for 45 years. He was scientist at Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute solving problems in Indian process industry. While designing embedded systems, he felt necessity of thorough knowledge of hardware and software design around state-of-art microprocessors. He had opportunity of structuring and teaching the course of microprocessors with all real world experiences to under graduates for 17 years.

The author stresses the need of formal methodologies in developing hardware, software and system engineering.. These lectures are the outcome of his experience from process industry, software industry and teaching courses of “microprocessors” and “Embedded systems” for graduate and under-graduate students.
