In 2013, Clair quit her office job to learn the art of craft bartending. One side effect of the change was that she started thinking about drinks and food. A LOT. Making drinks lead to researching and writing about them, and her former occupation was born.

See Clair Write was initially created as a catchall. Now, it’s evolved into a chronicle of everything cocktail-related, which includes most aspects of her life.

As a writer, she specializes in drinks, bartending, science, food, and food science. But with some research, she's also written about music, agriculture, advertising, geek culture, weddings, and much, much more.

She is the author of the forthcoming Spooky Cocktails (2025), Romantic Cocktails (Feb. 2019) and The Classic & Craft Cocktail Recipe Book (Feb. 2017).
