About me
Claudia Ulm is an author, singer/songwriter, educator, and lifelong student of the human experience with more than 30 years of teaching experience.
Her work has taken her through traditional classrooms, individual language instruction, writing, music, and ultimately to rural Thailand, where she runs an animal sanctuary that is home to more than 100 rescued animals.
Claudia is the author of The Teaching Grove series, created from a simple belief: meaningful personal growth is not about becoming someone new. It is about understanding what has shaped us, learning to hear our own voice again, and finding the courage to live more consciously as ourselves.
Her approach is practical, compassionate, and deliberately free of promises of instant transformation. She does not believe there is one formula for a meaningful life—or that another person should tell you what yours ought to look like.
Instead, Claudia encourages students to question, reflect, experiment, and develop greater trust in their own judgment.
Her teaching style reflects the same philosophy she has brought to the classroom for decades: meet people where they are, explain things in human language, leave room for humor, and never underestimate the value of asking the right question.
Through The Teaching Grove, Claudia invites students into a space where they can slow down, listen more carefully to themselves, and begin finding a path that genuinely feels like their own.
