I began my career as a software developer in 1993 and have spent the last two decades designing, building, and tuning MySQL databases — some as large as 20 terabytes, with hundreds of tables and billions of rows.

As a MySQL database administrator, I’ve designed and maintained highly available, scalable replication solutions, while also helping clients achieve the best performance from their systems. My expertise ranges from operating system configuration to fine-tuning queries, indexes, and schema design for speed and efficiency.
