The National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) is Singapore’s national training institute established by the Ministry of Education as part of the government’s efforts to uplift the sector.

As the Home for All Early Childhood Educators, NIEC offers a range of training to support aspiring and in-service educators at every stage of their careers. Our training equips educators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to nurture, inspire, educate and care for every child.

At NIEC, we believe that learning is a lifelong journey. Whether you are an early childhood professional looking to deepen your practice, an aspiring educator building your knowledge, or a parent seeking to better understand young children, our research-informed learning opportunities will empower you to grow and thrive in the early childhood sector and community!
