I'm a registered nurse with more than 20 years of emergency and trauma-care experience — but this course didn't come from a textbook. It came from two decades of watching people who were already hurting get hurt again, simply because the people around them didn't understand trauma. I've been teaching healthcare continuing education since 2009, and I've helped thousands of students learn to see the people in their lives — patients, family, students, coworkers — with more understanding and less judgment. My goal with every course is simple: help you move from "what's wrong with you" to "what happened to you."
