About me
I’m Dr. Marcia Morgan Parker, DNP, MSN, RN, and for 41 years I’ve done the work I’m about to teach you. I’m a nurse leader, educator, mentor, and author. I wrote Breaking the Cycle of Bullying in Nursing and co-authored How to Start and Operate a Non-Medical Home Care Business: A Quick Guide for Entrepreneurs. My clinical background spans home care, care management, geriatrics, and oncology: the real, hands-on work of caring for people where they live, through some of the most tender seasons of their lives.
I’ve sat with families on hard days. I’ve trained caregivers who walked in nervous and walked out capable. And in more than four decades of nursing, I’ve learned that great caregiving isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being safe, steady, and kind, and those are things anyone can learn with the right teacher.
I write and publish for nurses and caregivers through my imprint, Inclusive Care Institute, because I believe the people who give care deserve to be equipped, respected, and supported. That belief is my whole reason for teaching, and it lives in my tagline: grace for the ones who give.
I built this course for the caregivers the system tends to overlook: family members caring for a loved one, private-pay caregivers hired directly by families, and anyone drawn to this work who wants a strong, compassionate foundation. I’ll teach you the way I wish everyone were taught: clearly, warmly, and with dignity at the center. Whatever brought you here, I’m so glad you came. Let’s begin.
