About me
Eugene Morrison is an author, longtime professional writer and technical communicator, MBA, and creator of The 7 Stages of Human-AI Mastery.
Over a career spanning several decades, Eugene has worked in complex technical and business environments, helping organizations and individuals turn complicated information, systems, and processes into something people can understand and use. His professional experience has included technical and business communication and training across major corporate and organizational environments.
That background profoundly shaped his approach to artificial intelligence.
As AI began transforming the way people work, learn, create, and solve problems, Eugene experienced something many intelligent professionals are experiencing today: extraordinary access to information and increasingly powerful tools, but also the frustration of trying to determine what matters, where to focus, and how to turn all that possibility into meaningful capability.
He became increasingly convinced that the central challenge of the AI era isn't simply access to more information.
It is orientation.
For Eugene, that insight was also personal. After a lifetime spent gathering information, learning, writing, researching, and helping others make sense of complexity, he began asking a deeper question: What good is access to extraordinary intelligence if we cannot transform it into judgment, capability, meaningful action, and ultimately something of value?
That question led to extensive exploration and hands-on collaboration with artificial intelligence—and eventually to the development of The 7 Stages of Human-AI Mastery.
The framework guides learners through Disorientation, Orientation, Clarity, Collaboration, Leverage, Systems Thinking, and Orchestration. Rather than teaching students to chase every new AI tool, Eugene's work focuses on helping people develop a durable way of operating as the technology continues to change.
His philosophy is simple: AI should expand human capability, not replace human judgment.
Through his books, courses, workshops, An Interview With ChatGPT website, and Human-AI learning systems, Eugene helps people move beyond simply collecting information toward building capability, creating meaningful value, and continually becoming more capable versions of themselves in the Age of AI.
