Dr. Franco Williams is a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Sydney in the Australia. With a strong research focus on sustainable cement, particularly on decarbonising the clinker production process. His work involves exploring alternative fuels and clinker compositions through process simulation and optimisation modelling.

Before joining the University of Sydney, he received his DPhil in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, Masterʼs in Structural Engineering from the University of Sydney and a Bachelorʼs with Honours in Civil Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University. He is deeply passionate on reducing climate change impacts from construction materials and practices.
