Hello! My name is Garrett, and I am here to help you build the practical, real-world technology skills you need to succeed in today's digital world.
My professional background is split between two worlds. By day, I am a Systems Engineer, designing and managing the high-level technology frameworks that keep businesses running. But my heart has always belonged to teaching. With a rich background in Vocational Technical Education, I am professionally trained to do what many tech experts struggle to do: translate dry, complex, and intimidating engineering concepts into hands-on, structured, and easy-to-understand lessons.
I decided to start teaching online because I believe everyone deserves to feel confident using modern technology. The tech world can often feel overwhelming, and my goal is to build a safe, patient, and completely judgment-free space where you can learn at your own pace.
Because of my vocational training, my teaching philosophy is strictly practical: we learn by doing, and there is no such thing as a stupid question.
In my classes, you won't find boring academic lectures or complex codes to memorize. Instead, we focus on real-world, step-by-step application. I specialize in using simple analogies—like kitchens, desks, and highways—to help you truly visualize how computers and networks function under the hood.
Whether you are looking to pivot careers into IT, need to master basic computer skills for a new job, or simply want to feel more confident navigating Windows and the internet safely, you are in the exact right place. We will go slow, take deep breaths, and build your confidence piece by piece.
I am fully dedicated to your success and am active in our student community space to support you every single step of the way.
Let's make technology work for you, not against you. I'll see you inside the classroom!
