I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Associate Director of the Medical Discovery Team on Addiction (MDTA) and a licensed adult psychiatrist. I’m a distinguished fellow of the International Society for Addiction Medicine (DFISAM).

My special areas of interest include interventional psychiatry (targeted brain stimulation for hard to treat psychiatric disorders) and addiction medicine/psychiatry.

While seeing patients as a licensed psychiatrist in the clinic, my lab is dedicated to develop innovative neuroscience-based therapeutics for psychiatry disorders with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, neuroscientists, physicists and clinicians.
