Hesham completed his undergraduate studies and received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 2010. In 2016, he received his Master's degree in Information Technology from Alexandria University with a thesis entitled "Simulation of Optical Amplifiers in Space-Division Multiplexed Communication Systems". Moreover, Hesham succeeded in publishing several papers at IEEE and OSA. Hesham's book has also been published with LAMBERT Academic Publishing (LAP) with ISBN number (978-3-659-89975-1).
Hesham is Member in the Photonics Group at Alexandria University.
Hesham is also the founder of Fiber Optics Mastery, and he is member at Sustainable Subsea Networks (SubOptic Working Group).
Hesham collaborates with the Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) working group at SubOptic, where he participates in the English Mentoring Program.
Hesham joined Telecom Egypt's International Sector in 2011 as a Transmission Engineer, where he is working on several international submarine projects. Currently, he is a Senior Transmission Engineer leading a CLS O&M team.
