My name is Hoplyn Gray, I was born on the Caribbean island of Jamaica, West Indies, and my first ambition and aspiration was to become a school teacher. However, my big ambition had me dreaming not only in one area, but I quickly found out at the age of eleven that I also had aspirations to become a hairstylist as well; I started doing my hair, and the young girls my age in my neighborhood hair with no formal training I would provide braided styles that I would create on my own before pressing comb, my mother's dinner folks or clothes iron would be the tool of choice to press hair I would get so busy my chores were being compromised. Hence, my mother gave me an ultimatum where I had to choose to quit or charge for service, so, of course, I decided to charge; it was a success I felt needed and important to my peers that were the ice breaker for me took cosmetology in high school as a skilled trade and persuade it after graduation as my career while still reside in jamaica but after I migrate to the states new york  I was unable to work with just being a certified hair stylist, so without hesitation after being told that I had to go back to school and sit a state broad to become license I was delighted to do just that still currently hold my new york license as well as my state of Florida. I'm a licensed cosmetologist with over 39 years of experience. Oh yes! I come seasoned in all areas of cosmetology. However, haircutting, coloring, chemical texture services, and styling has been my area of expertise throughout my career, I then told myself that I could complete my journey in this industry if I didn't inspire another further aspiring stylist, so I decided to become a cosmetology instructor while still running my salon  "I love doing hair in its entity hair is all about me. Here I am."loving what brings me so much gratification peace.
