About me
I am an English teacher, translator, and humanitarian worker with more than eight years of professional experience supporting education, protection, and community well-being in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. My background includes teaching English to learners of all ages, delivering psychosocial support (PSS/MHPSS) to conflict-affected communities, and providing high-quality translation and interpretation for NGOs and media organizations.
I have worked with international and local organizations such as PUI and JRS, where I facilitated psychosocial sessions, conducted field assessments, supported IDPs and refugees, and contributed to protection and case management efforts. My experience in education includes developing lesson plans, leading classrooms, managing institutes, and offering private lessons for students at different levels.
I bring strong skills in reporting, data entry, and digital tools, including KOBO Toolbox, CommCare, and Microsoft Office. I am committed, reliable, and passionate about empowering communities through education, psychological support, and clear communication. Fluent in Kurdish, English, and Arabic, I am able to bridge cultural and linguistic gaps and communicate effectively with diverse populations. I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching English as the second language.
I am always open to new opportunities in teaching, translation, MHPSS/PSS, protection, and humanitarian field work — and I aim to contribute my experience to organizations that value professionalism, compassion, and impact.
