James Fulton is a seasoned CEO and entrepreneur with over 27 years of expertise in accounting, finance, operations, tax planning, business consulting/coaching, grants management, nonprofit management, and education management.

Currently, James serves as an executive coach for C-suite leaders (CEOs, COOs, and CFOs), entrepreneurs, and small business owners. He is also the president of J.J. Fulton Companies, a consulting agency offering fractional CEO, CFO, and COO services to small businesses and nonprofits.

Throughout his career, James has held numerous C-suite positions with educational and nonprofit organizations, including Louisiana Technical College, Second Harvest Food Bank, Choice Foundation, and Community Academies of New Orleans. He has managed large-scale entities with budgets exceeding $25 million and over 350 employees.

After earning a bachelor's degree in accounting from Pittsburg State University in 1996 and an MBA from the University of New Orleans in 2003, James became a trusted advisor to nonprofits, educational institutions, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. He continues to serve on the boards of several local nonprofits.

James grew up in the historic Orange Mound neighborhood in Memphis, Tennessee, where he spent his childhood in poverty. As a proud graduate of the Memphis Public School System, he is deeply committed to ensuring that students from similar backgrounds have the same educational, business, and life opportunities he received.

A former college basketball player at Pittsburg State University, James values the core team principles of organization, communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, and support. He currently resides in New Orleans.
