Seungyong Chang is an artist, music composer, author, cultural arts lecturer, critic, and creative content producer working across the fields of music, visual arts, literature, and cinema.
As a specialist in the life and works of Amedeo Modigliani, he founded the Modigliani Institute Korea (MIK) to introduce Modigliani’s artistic legacy to a wider audience. He has written several books on Modigliani and continues to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of his art.
He is the founder and president of Art Collage JANG, J Music, J Art, J Books & Media, and J Art Salon, a multidisciplinary cultural organization and publishing company dedicated to connecting art, creativity, and storytelling.
He has contributed articles to international art magazines and has delivered lectures at leading cultural and educational institutions, including KBS, Seongdong Cultural Foundation, public libraries, art academies, and lifelong learning centers in Korea.
As an author of more than 30 books, including “The Crimson Horror Series”and “The Great and Immortal Painters' Stories Series,” he explores the connections between art, history, music, and human emotion.
Through J Art Salon, he invites audiences to discover the hidden stories behind masterpieces and experience art as a living journey.
