"With a passion for community service and a drive to promote safety and disaster preparedness, I have long harbored the dream of opening a nonprofit awareness center to educate individuals on the various hazards that may exist around them and equip them with the knowledge and skills to safeguard themselves and their loved ones. While resource constraints have thus far prevented me from realizing this vision, I remain hopeful that I will be able to do so in the future.

In the meantime, I have turned to Udemy as a means of sharing my expertise and informing and preparing individuals about this critical subject. With a background in Geography, Geology, GIS/Mapping, and Environmental Sciences, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my teaching, and I pride myself on taking a hands-on approach that emphasizes practical, experiential learning.

My goal is not simply to impart information, but to ensure that my students truly understand and internalize what they are learning. To this end, I have designed my courses to be highly interactive, with practical exercises and projects that give students the opportunity to apply what they have learned and build their skills and confidence. I believe that by taking my course, students will gain a deep understanding of disaster preparedness and emerge equipped to protect themselves and their families in the face of adversity
