Hey! I’m Gianmarco (call me Jimmy!), a statistician, international teacher and educator who loves turning messy real-world data into clear answers in R.

I’ve worked as a Data Analyst and Research Assistant at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, the University of Helsinki, and the University of Milano-Bicocca, building scalable R workflows for large genomic studies and studying bias caused by missing data.

My research on item nonresponse and participation bias has been published in journals like Nature Human Behaviour and Nature Genetics, and includes work evaluating imputation methods for Food Frequency Questionnaires.

I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematical, Computational and Natural Sciences, focusing on statistical and machine learning methods for missing data in genetic and nutritional research.

I’ve taught university courses in statistics and given biostatistics seminars, and I have international teaching experience between Milan and Dubai. I design my courses to be practical, honest, and hands-on - so you can go from “my data is a mess” to confident, defensible models in R.
