This experience allowed her to excel in ‘Oracle Crisis Performance Project' roles.  She holds Oracle Certifications and is a certified AWS Solutions Architect.

Joan’s bigData journey began in 2008 architecting then Hadoop V1/MRV1. Traditionally clients built vast and costly hardware and licensed software solutions on-premise. Today clients feel comfortable choosing opensource and cloud solutions to provide extreme cost effectiveness, security, performance, reliability and availability and competitive advantage.  Joan architects in both AWS and GCP cloud solutions.

She has written Python scripts for ML (Machine Learning) models using Random Forest, SVM, TF/IDF, and Bayes Theorem for various domain industries. Python’s powerful libraries has earned it a reputation as the ‘language of data’.

Another important component is ETL / Data Lake Service. Talend Open Studio hands-down is a tremendous opensource solution.

This then leads us to analytics and visualization.  Joan is an evangelist for multiple vendor visualization tools. Take it from someone who has knowledge of what Joan calls ‘traditional’ IT solutions, today’s 21st century options are nothing short of miraculous.
