I grew up in the hospitality business and, at the age of 13, decided to follow my family’s tradition of baking. Since then, pastry has become both my profession and one of my greatest passions, with a particular focus on Pastel de Nata, Portugal’s most iconic pastry.
Over the years, I have dedicated a large part of my work to teaching people from around the world how to make traditional Portuguese pastries. Through my Pastel de Nata masterclasses in Lisbon, I have welcomed more than 30,000 participants from over 50 nationalities, from complete beginners who had never baked before to experienced professionals and Michelin-starred chefs.
I created this course with the same approach I use in my in-person classes: making traditional pastry techniques clear, practical and approachable. I work with ingredients and utensils that are easy to find and explain each step in a way that allows people to confidently recreate the recipes at home, wherever they are in the world.
I am passionate about sharing the craft, history and techniques behind Pastel de Nata and helping more people discover the pleasure of making Portuguese pastries from scratch.
