Joey is a former professional rugby players for the Bulls and Junior Springboks. He is currently a professional rugby coach, with a Masters degree in Industrial and Organisational psychology.

TeamIP3 founded by Joey with the main focus being "to bolster performance through principles, frameworks, and strategies in effective leadership and team cohesiveness that are clear, concise, and practical."

As a performance strategist, his unique approach to performance enhancement is derived from his experiences within top-tier professional sport and his Masters degree in Industrial and Organisational psychology.
