I’m Keith “KJ” Daniels, an astrologer, educator, and founder of Practical Uranian—an astrology education business created to make astrology clearer, more practical, and more approachable.

For the past six years, I have independently studied astrology through books, courses, educational content, conversations with astrologers, professional birth-chart readings, and hands-on chart exploration. I have applied what I’ve learned by interpreting my own natal chart and informally exploring birth charts shared by others.

Two astrologers who have especially influenced my education are Chris Brennan, creator and host of The Astrology Podcast, and Joanna Martine Woolfolk, author of The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need. Brennan’s detailed podcast-style discussions have helped deepen my understanding of astrological history, techniques, and symbolism, while Woolfolk’s accessible writing has strengthened my understanding of astrology’s foundational concepts. Learning from their work—and from other astrological perspectives—has helped me develop my own thoughtful approach to astrology education.

I created Astro Insight I: Beginner Astrology (Signs, Planets, Houses), a nearly nine-hour foundational course exploring the history of astrology, natal birth charts, the four elements, three modalities, twelve zodiac signs, ten planets, twelve houses, and four major chart angles.

My teaching style combines beginner-friendly explanations, practical examples, and structured lessons that allow students to learn at their own pace. Rather than presenting astrology as a collection of disconnected keywords, I help students understand how its foundational concepts connect and work together.

I believe astrology should be taught with compassion, care, intuition, discipline, and intellectual curiosity. It should encourage exploration without relying on rigid stereotypes or fatalistic interpretations.

My courses are designed for curious beginners and developing astrology students who want to move beyond their Sun sign or Big Three. My goal is to help you understand natal-chart symbolism and basic astrological concepts while building the foundational knowledge needed to continue your astrology journey with clarity and confidence.
