Korkut graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, in 2004 and began his career in 2005 at the Undersecretariat for Foreign Trade. Between 2011 and 2013, he completed his master's degree at Yale University with full scholarship.

Throughout his public service career, his work focused on standardization, the transposition of international legislation and standards into national law, and audits related to product and service standards. From 2017 to 2019, he served in the Secretariat of the Agricultural Quality Standards unit at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

In 2019, he founded 10k Consulting to specialize in the critical field of corporate sustainability. The firm is focused on ESG-oriented management systems—including environmental management (ISO 14001), energy management (ISO 50001), and sustainable procurement (ISO 20400)—and provides expert guidance on the leading sustainability reporting frameworks: ESRS, GRI, and IFRS.

He currently serves as the Founder, Trainer, and Consultant at 10k Consulting, where he actively delivers training to numerous companies on developing and implementing effective sustainability strategies and reporting.
