Dr. Krishnendu Mukherjee is a seasoned industry leader, a certified Generative AI professional, optimization scientist, and academician with over 20 years of experience spanning advanced optimization, decision sciences, artificial intelligence, and large-scale industrial platforms. With more than 12 years of hands-on expertise, he has designed and deployed linear, mixed-integer, non-linear, meta-heuristic, machine learning, AI, and Generative AI solutions for complex, large-scale business problems.

An accomplished innovator, his contributions have enabled organizations to secure two Indian patents, one US patent, and two trademarks. Some of his PhD work has also been implemented by several researchers in the industry.

Dr. Mukherjee has introduced “sourcing postponement” as a novel postponement strategy and “Agentic AI-based Vehicle Route Optimization” to academia and industry and had the rare opportunity to collaborate with Late Prof. Thomas L. Saaty, the originator of AHP and ANP. His career bridges academia and industry, with leadership roles at NIT Silchar, IICT Bhadohi, and the Ministry of Manpower, Oman.

In industry, he has led optimization platforms from proof-of-concept to production for global, high-impact decision intelligence initiatives. Dr. Krishnendu Mukherjee has authored nearly 20 peer-reviewed publications in top-tier conferences and journals – including IEEE, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Springer, Intl. J. Oper. Res. etc.
