Personal Profile: Xiaobai Nie (Art & Craft Educator)

Hi, I’m Tingqiang Nie—an art & craft educator who’s turned a decade of creative passion into warm, beginner-friendly learning. Back in 2016, I won the National Champion at the China Nail Art Competition, where I fell for blending tiny, vivid details into art—a skill I now bring to clay succulents.

As an excellent lecturer in handicrafts and hand-painted carvings, I’ve guided 2,000+ learners (most with zero experience!) to stop fearing “imperfections” and start loving their unique creations. I know how daunting 3D sculpting feels at first, so I break every step into simple, encouraging bits—no jargon, just patience.

In 2024, I served as a judge for Malaysia’s Beauty & Nail Art Special Invitational Competition, a role that reminded me: art thrives when it’s accessible. Now, I’m thrilled to teach my Udemy course on clay mini potted plants—because everyone deserves to hold a “never-wilting” succulent they made themselves. For me, crafting isn’t just about skills; it’s about sharing the joy of turning a lump of clay into something that feels like you.
