Hi, I'm Lisa Hoston, founder of Life Aligned Strategies, LLC, where my mission is elevating how people live, learn, and lead.

My career sits at the intersection of justice, leadership, and education. I spent years in federal law enforcement, working inside the justice system and seeing firsthand how it operates — the processes, the people, and the moments that matter most. For the past 20 years, I've built on that foundation as an educator at the community college and university level, teaching learners from every background and walk of life.

I hold a Master's degree in Criminal Justice and an MBA, and I bring more than 35 years of combined professional experience into everything I create. Through my Life Aligned Center for Leadership & Justice Studies, I help working professionals build the leadership, communication, and workplace confidence skills that often go untaught, but matter most.

I've learned that the best teaching never talks down to people. It meets them where they are, respects their intelligence, and gives them exactly what they need to feel calm, capable, and prepared.

I created Jury Duty Made Simple: The Calm, Clear Guide because jury duty is one of the most common ways everyday citizens interact with the justice system, and one of the least explained. The questions I repeatedly receive from students, colleagues, and community members made it clear: people deserve a calm, clear, honest guide to the process.
