Hi, I’m from Western New York and have a background in Asian Studies from the University at Buffalo, where I also minored in Chinese (Mandarin). I first went to China through a study-abroad program and ended up spending over a decade living and working there — teaching English as a Second Language and drums.

I’m currently a teacher’s aide in New York and working toward becoming a licensed Chinese teacher in the state.

Outside the classroom, I love video games, aggressive inline skating, and skateboarding. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned about Mandarin and Chinese culture in a practical, engaging way for beginners.
