Mike holds a Master of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University. He has been married over 33 years to Kristina, and they have three grown sons. Mike has been in ministry over 25 years, as either a church planter (senior pastor), an Associate Pastor, or volunteer.

Mike also holds a B.S. and M.S. in geology, the latter specializing in remote sensing applications for geology. He has worked as a geologist in Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. He has also worked as an Information Technology consultant, specializing in GIS applications for local, regional, and state government.
