CCAT and aptitude tests

I've taken the Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT) five times. My first attempt scored 27 out of 50. Once I built a proper practice routine, I scored 42, 45, 46 and 48 out of 50 across four sittings for roles hired through Crossover. My courses teach that same method: learn every question type, drill it under the real time limit, and review every mistake. On the CCAT, practice is king.

Networking and cybersecurity

From 2022 to 2024 I was Presales Lead for EMEA and APAC at GFI Software, a security and networking software vendor. I worked hands-on with 10+ products covering firewalls, email security, bandwidth management and network visibility, including KerioControl, Exinda, LanGuard, MailEssentials and Archiver. In that role I:

• Ran demos and technical evaluations for enterprise and government buyers, including NASA, the UK Ministry of Defence, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys and Saudi Arabian Airlines

• Wrote technical and sales guides that partners used to position, deploy and sell the products

• Trained 100+ distributor and reseller partner organizations across EMEA and APAC, on site and through webinars on topics like the NIS2 directive, firewall as a service and network visibility

• Worked with other vendors across partner and customer networks, including Fortinet and Cisco

Before that

I was an L2 Technical Consultant at Trilogy, CTO at Ingenio EC, and an AI and machine learning engineer and researcher. I hold a BSc in Software Engineering from NUST. Today I lead Ertiqah, a software company with eight live products.
