I’m a professor of finance and geopolitics at ESCA-School of Management with a passion for bridging academic excellence, strategic thinking, and digital innovation.

With a Ph.D. in Finance (completed with honors in two and a half years), an Executive Master in Finance at HEC Paris and a Bachelor in International Economics, I’ve built a career at the intersection of financial expertise and real-world impact.

Over the past three decades, I’ve held executive positions, notably, in leading financial institutions across Morocco and North Africa and advised business leaders on financial strategy and government officials on economic policy and institutional transformation.

My research focuses on the intersection of finance, economics and geopolitics — particularly the impact of geopolitical risk on the performance of financial institutions, global illicit financial flows, digital literacy and the evolution of financial maturity in emerging markets. I’ve published several books and academic articles, some, in Q1-ranked journals and continue to contribute to the dialogue on geopolitics and financial systems.

Currently, I lead Ceteris Paribus, my digital learning initiative, where we design and deliver advanced courses in various fields.
