Noboru Ikuta is a hands-on industry practitioner whose career spans telecommunications networks, data infrastructure, cloud services, and the building of generative-AI environments.

He began with construction work on telephone-exchange (switching) systems at one of Japan's largest telecommunications carriers, and went on to build large-scale networks. He later joined a leading mobile carrier, where he worked on database development and operations as well as statistical data analysis and proposals.

In 2003, he conceived an early vision for cloud services, and in April 2004 he founded Infotect Inc. In 2005, he launched "Memory Box," a service that stored data — address books, photos, videos, and music from PCs, Macs, and mobile phones — on servers across the network. Because the saved photos and videos could be shared privately within closed circles, much like today's Instagram, it drew attention as a cloud-based social service well ahead of its time.

In the second half of fiscal 2008, he was selected for IPA's MITOU Program (the Exploratory IT Human Resources Project). His chosen theme — "An Automatic Power-Optimization Server System Using a Reverse Proxy" — was a Green-IT project that dynamically scaled the number of active servers in response to traffic, optimizing the power consumption of the server fleet while maintaining load balancing, availability, and security.

Today, he is the author of the book "AI of One's Own," the creator of "AI NOBORu," and the builder of systems such as a generative-AI "factory" for mass-producing short-form videos. Drawing on tools like Claude, ChatGPT, AnythingLLM, Docker, RAG, and MCP, he shares practical methods that empower individuals to build — and continuously grow — an AI environment of their very own.

In this course, based on his book "AI of One's Own," he guides you step by step through building your own personal AI environment with Docker and AnythingLLM — explained clearly enough for complete beginners.

NOBORu IKUTAは、通信ネットワーク、データ基盤、クラウドサービス、生成AI環境構築に携わってきた実務家です。

最大手通信会社における電話交換機システムの建設工事を出発点に、大規模ネットワーク構築、その後最大手移動通信会社にてデータベース開発・運用、統計データの算出・提案などに関わってきました。

2003年にクラウドサービス構想を着想し、2004年4月に株式会社インフォテクトを設立。2005年には、パソコンやMac、携帯電話内のアドレス帳、画像、動画、音楽などのデータをネットワーク上のサーバへ保存する「メモリーボックス」サービスを開始。保存した画像や動画は、今のインスタグラムのようにクローズドでシェアすることができたため、当時として先進的なクラウド型SNSサービスで注目を集めました。

2008年度下期には、IPA未踏IT人材発掘・育成事業(本体)に採択。採択テーマは「リバースプロクシーを用いた消費電力自動最適化サーバシステム」。アクセス状況に応じて稼働サーバ数を動的に変化させ、負荷分散、可用性、セキュリティを維持しながら、サーバ群の消費電力最適化を目指すグリーンITプロジェクトです。

現在は、「育てるAI」の執筆、「AI NOBORu」の構築を使い、生成AIショート動画生成工場の構築など、さまざまなAIを構築、Claude/ChatGPT、AnythingLLM、Docker、RAG、MCPなどを活用し、個人が自分専用のAI環境を構築し、継続的に育てていくための方法を発信しています。

本講座では、書籍「育てるAI」の内容をもとに、DockerとAnythingLLMを使った自分専用AI環境の構築手順を、初心者にもわかるように順番に解説します。
