Dr. Pankaj Dumka is an accomplished academician and researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology (JUET), Guna, where he currently serves as Assistant Professor (Senior Grade). With over a decade of teaching and research experience, he has made significant contributions to the fields of Solar Thermal Applications, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Numerical Methods.

He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from JUET, Guna (2021), focusing

Dr. Dumka’s research integrates experimental, computational, and mathematical programming approaches to address complex problems in thermal and fluid sciences. He is a strong proponent of scientific computing, employing Python extensively for modelling, simulation, and numerical problem-solving. His innovative work has resulted in more than 80 publications in reputed SCI, Scopus, and other-indexed journals, including Desalination, Energy, Applied Thermal Engineering, Solar Energy, and Advances in Engineering Software.

In addition to research papers, he has authored two books — Numerical Methods Using Python (2022) and Basics of C for Engineers (2023) — along with several book chapters. His research portfolio also includes multiple patents in the areas of solar distillation and irrigation technologies. He has actively contributed to industrial consultancy projects such as wind tunnel studies for high-rise structures, chimney designs, power plant optimization, and water consumption reduction studies.
