I’m Dr. Pooky Knightsmith - proudly autistic, mum to neurodivergent children, and a specialist in mental health and special educational needs. I hold a PhD in Psychological Medicine from King’s College London and a BA/MA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford. Over the past decade I’ve partnered with schools and teaching teams to translate cutting-edge research into jargon-free strategies you can use tomorrow.
My courses are rooted in lived experience (both as an autistic person and a parent) and in evidence-based practice. You’ll gain clear, practical tools for everything from designing sensory-safe classrooms to crafting predictable routines that reduce anxiety and boost engagement. No unnecessary theory—just ideas proven to work in real schools around the world.
