I am a composer, pianist, arranger, and music educator, and I continue to work professionally in studios, on stage, and in educational settings.
After graduating from the Piano Department of Kunitachi College of Music in Japan, I studied arranging, composition, and film scoring at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
For many years, I have worked across a wide range of professional music settings, including television and radio appearances such as NHK, recording sessions, live performances, composition, arranging, and choir direction.
I believe that music is not something we simply listen to—it is something we truly experience when we make it ourselves. Playing music can open the door to discovering a new side of yourself.
This belief has inspired me to devote much of my work to teaching beginners, especially adults who are starting music later in life and people who feel uncomfortable reading sheet music.
My motto is simple:
“Music belongs to everyone.”
I have been fortunate to study with wonderful teachers whose guidance and encouragement shaped my musical life. Their influence has helped me continue making music to this day, and I would love to share that same joy and inspiration with you.
One of my favorite things as a teacher is helping students discover new possibilities and say:
“I never knew there was a way to practice like this”
“I never thought about music in that way before”
Whether you consider yourself musical or not, you are warmly welcome here.
