After obtaining his Ph.D. in 2007, Remi worked as a senior researcher in sustainable housing at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). In 2011, he moved with his wife and two kids to a family farm in Pemberton, BC, in the hope of finding a more resilient lifestyle. Since then, he has operated a small farming operation, Camel's Back Harvest, with his wife, as well as an independent consulting firm, Remi Charron Consulting Services, providing research and education services to improve the energy efficiency and resilience of the housing industry.
