Remo Pulcini is Director of Healthcare Technical Professions at ASP Catania (Italian National Health Service), where he has managed hospital laboratories, imaging departments, and clinical technical staff for over 30 years. In this role he oversees the daily operations of radiographers, laboratory technicians, dietitians, and other allied health professionals across multiple hospital sites — giving him direct, hands-on experience with the exact systems, devices, and compliance challenges this course addresses.
He is the founder of Quantum Horizon Italia, Italy's leading editorial platform on quantum computing and cybersecurity, with over 700 published articles tracking post-quantum cryptography from the NIST standardization process through the final FIPS standards of August 2024. He has followed every round of the NIST competition since 2016 — from the original 69 candidate algorithms through the elimination of SIKE to the finalization of ML-KEM, ML-DSA, and SLH-DSA.
He holds a Master's Degree in Law (110/110 cum laude) and serves as a court-appointed expert witness (CTU/Perito) at the Tribunal of Messina in healthcare administration and IT matters. He is a certified OIV Fascia 1 organizational performance evaluator (n. 9929) — bringing a unique legal and compliance perspective to cybersecurity topics that most technical instructors cannot offer.
He is the author of multiple Amazon KDP publications on healthcare management, ISO 15189:2024 laboratory accreditation, and post-quantum cryptography for healthcare professionals.
What makes Remo uniquely qualified to teach this course is simple: he does not teach theory from the outside. He manages real hospital networks, real laboratory systems, and real medical devices every single day — and has tracked the quantum threat in depth for nearly a decade. No other instructor combines active healthcare management, quantum computing expertise, and legal and compliance knowledge in a single course.
