Training Consultant in Operational Finance, Supply Chain Management & Warehouse Management

Ronnie was involved in the IT industry for over 20 years where he started as a sales trainee with an international computer company and graduated through Sales Manager, National Sales Manager to Strategic Marketing Manager over a period of about 8 years. Ronnie attended the Graduate School of Business PMD course at UCT in Cape Town.

He received the merit award for Marketing and wrote a paper on “Consumer vs Industrial Marketing” which was nominated for the Raymond Ackerman marketing award.

Ronnie expanded his knowledge of production & manufacturing by qualifying as a member of the American Production & Inventory Control Society [Certified in Production and Inventory Management]..

He started Business Learning Systems Sa cc in 1990 specialising in Business & Sales Training and was awarded the contract for teaching business management to the engineers and scientists at the Atomic Energy Corporation and also performed the role of consulting sales manager for them for two years.

In 1995 he was appointed managing director of a medium sized engineering company where he was able to successfully implement and test the concepts he taught on his business courses. He returned to his training role in 1997.

As a senior consultant of Brian Maskell and Associates he presented their workshops on Lean Management and Value Stream Costing for lean manufacturing operations.

Ronnie successfully completed the CSCP exam certifying him as a Supply Chain Professional and in 2014 he became only the second person in Africa to be certified by Carol Ptak of the Demand Driven Institute as a DDMRP instructor.

He also presented APICS [American Production and Inventory Control Society] courses CPIM and CSCP and SAPICS courses on various aspects of supply chain management including PPIM. In 2016 Ronnie added the CISCM (Certified International Supply Chain Manager) and CIWIM (Certified International Inventory and Warehouse Management) qualifications to his credentials under the auspices of the International Purchasing and Supply Chain Institute and continues to train delegates from around Africa in these disciplines. He has worked with USAID in Uganda and completed a number of Supply Chain management courses in Angola.

With qualifications and practical experience in Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales from sales trainee to Managing Director, Ronnie brings a wealth of practical experience to both the finance and supply chain courses providing meaningful insight and helping delegates see the business value of the concepts taught.

Challenging questions from all disciplines can therefore be addressed and answered with practical proven insight to reinforce the powerful learning objectives.
