Five years ago, we purchased a newly built home with a blank canvas of a backyard. As a former Architect who switched careers to the technology industry a decade ago, I decided to take on the garden design project to immerse myself in the world of garden landscape design.
The main goal was to create tools in the form of books, software, and courses so that they could be used by homeowners to easily design and build their own outdoor spaces without spending countless hours learning about design principles and techniques.
Progress
So far I've
- authored a workbook on 'Garden Landscape Design'
- setup multiple social media communities with thousands of members who all have an interest in garden design
- developed online resources to support the garden design industry
- featured in TV productions sharing garden design tips with a focus on DIY
- run multiple free garden design courses with the community
Passion & Drive
As a built environment architect and a technical solution architect as well, I am passionate about creating solutions that enhance the quality of life for those that come into contact with anything that I play a part in creating.
To achieve that outcome, I have developed this course and will continue to create many more.
