Stacy Schilling was born in Los Angeles, California, where her love for visual arts began early. After her family relocated to Kentucky, she earned a Journalism degree from the University of Kentucky, later pursuing her true passion in Graphic Design at Northern Kentucky University, where she graduated with honors.

Her career led her back to Los Angeles, where she worked with clients including NBC and UCLA and became a respected designer and educator.

In 2022, Stacy launched her Frizz Girl book series to fill a gap in children’s literature—stories that celebrate natural curls and teach kids to love and care for their unique hair. Her mission is to inspire confidence, self-acceptance, and pride in young readers everywhere.

When she’s not designing or writing, Stacy enjoys painting, teaching web design, and exploring creative outlets that encourage others to express themselves.
