The Base Bid Academy teaches contractors, architect-engineer firms and commercial real estate owners how federal construction actually works, from registration through close-out. Courses follow the real sequence of a federal project: how work gets funded and forecast, how solicitations are written and evaluated, how IDIQs and task orders are competed, and what a contractor owes the government every week once the job starts. Instruction covers the buyers that matter most in this market, including GSA's Public Buildings Service, the Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security. Lessons are presented by K2, and every module opens with learning objectives and closes with a summary.
